About the Team
"We want to make our users superheroes," explains Andrej Davidiuk from the Russian company Motorica in Moscow. The company develops and produces multifunctional arm prostheses using 3D printing processes and EMG technology to send electrical impulses to the muscles enabling them to grasp. At CYBATHLON 2020, pilot Sergei will try to complete the various tasks with Motorica’s Stradiovary model. "We have a strong team spirit. Great challenges are best solved in collaboration and we want to develop good prostheses to support the people who need one in the best possible way". explains Andrej the ambition of his team. Before the 2000s, disability was an absolute taboo subject in Russia. But for some years now, things have been changing. The people are talking about it, national support projects have been launched and infrastructures improved. "There is still room for improvement, but we are on the right track and want to contribute to the development with Motorica – also by competing at CYBATHLON 2020".
